AI Stock Analyzer ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our website https://aistockanalyzer.org and services (the "Service").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1. Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and a secure, hashed version of your password.

1.2. Device and Usage Data: To protect our Service from abuse and ensure security, we automatically collect your IP address, User-Agent (browser/device type), login timestamps, and the stock tickers you search for.

1.3. Uploaded Documents: If you choose to upload custom documents (e.g., PDFs) for personalized AI analysis, we temporarily process the text extracted from these files. We do not permanently store these files on our servers after the analysis is complete.

1.4. Payment Information: We use a secure third-party Merchant of Record (Paddle) for all billing. We do not collect, store, or process your full credit card numbers or billing addresses on our servers.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Deduct credits from your balance when you generate reports.
  • Prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and abuse of our API systems.
  • Communicate with you regarding account updates, security alerts, or support.

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION (THIRD-PARTY SERVICES)

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. However, to provide our Service, we share necessary data with trusted third-party providers:

  • Authentication & Database: We use Supabase to securely store your account data and handle logins.
  • AI Providers: The stock tickers, financial data, and text from your uploaded custom documents are sent to third-party Large Language Model providers (Anthropic, Google) via API to generate the reports. Note: Under our API agreements, these providers do NOT use your submitted data to train their public AI models.
  • Payment Processors: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and securely processes your payments.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

4. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use standard session cookies and local storage tokens to keep you logged in securely (provided by our authentication partner, Supabase). These are "essential" cookies necessary for the Service to function, and by using the Service, you consent to them.

With your explicit consent (managed via our Cookie Banner), we may also use non-essential cookies for basic website analytics to improve user experience. You can choose to accept or decline these non-essential cookies. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies for targeted advertising.

5. YOUR DATA RIGHTS (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request complete deletion of your account, history, and personal data (Right to be forgotten).

How to exercise your rights: You can instantly and permanently delete your account, including all report history and personal data, directly from the "Settings" page within your Dashboard. To exercise any other rights (such as data access or correction), or if you need assistance, please contact us using the email below.

6. DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We retain your account data and report history for as long as your account is active to provide you access to your past purchases. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our active database in accordance with our retention policies.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the legal age to invest in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
